While Shady Fig is best known locally for its flowers, gifts and homewares, weddings and events remain an important part of what we do. Drawing on decades of experience, Michelle and her team create lush, abundant and sophisticated floral designs that embrace the perfect imperfections of nature.
Working with only the highest quality flowers sourced from trusted market and specialty growers, we offer a personalised floral styling experience from the initial consultation through to the celebration itself. Every design is thoughtfully tailored to reflect the client, the season and the setting.

After a childhood spent making flower mud pies, picking blossoms from the garden and gathering armloads of azaleas, Michelle Collison (née Cambridge) began her floral journey honing her skills in some of Sydney’s leading flower shops under the guidance of respected mentors.
Inspired by her experiences and passion for flowers, Michelle opened her own Mosman-based floral studio, Organique Flowers, where she established a reputation for creating spectacular floral designs for high-profile weddings and events. In 2007, she made a sea change to the NSW South Coast and opened Shady Fig, bringing with her more than two decades of industry experience and a distinctive floral style that celebrates the natural beauty of flowers.
Today, Michelle leads an experienced and passionate team dedicated to creating exceptional flowers, gifts and customer experiences for locals and visitors alike.
